When picking out sportbike apparel, it can be very tempting to make decisions just based on what looks good. While great style is of course an option, safety is the most important priority. When decking out the bike with high-end motorcycle parts, it can be just as fun picking out special motorcycle accessories. The first accessory someone should ever purchase is a good helmet.

When driving in a car, the body of the car and the windshield protects the person inside from the wind and from flying dust and debris. A bike has none of these benefits. Make sure to get gear made for bikes- leather for fashion purposes is just as weak as cloth can be, and will not be enough protection in the event of an accident. While sportbike apparel can cost a lot of money, in a debate between money and personal safety, safety should win every time.
